Thames Plastic Clean-up

Booking is essential (minimum age 14) as there is a maximum number of volunteers allowed onto site.

Help clean up the tide of plastic accumalated on the shores adjacent to Cliffe Poole Nature Reserve. Meet in the car park at Salt Lane, Rochester, ME3 7SX, at 10am.

Equipment will be provided such as gloves and litter pickers.
Please wear stout footwear for beach clean and wind/ weatherproof clothing for weather conditions on the day! Free parking is available.

About Us

The Guardians of the Deep project is a partnership between Kent Wildlife Trust, Thanet District Council, Medway Swale Estuary Partnership, Kent County Council and Natural England. It is funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

It will involve local people in the protection and monitoring of Kent’s coastal wildlife, and get young people excited about marine wildlife through a programme of snorkelling activities and practical learning opportunities at coastal sites around the county.
