Join our monthly beach clean and litter survey along the estuary at Riverside Country Park

Meet at Eastcourt Drive car park (4spaces)

The Park Rangers will be at the gate of the car park at 9.10am to let all volunteers and their cars onto site. The gate will close at 9.30am


Eastcourt Drive Car Park is situated on the Lower Rainham Road before the main entrance to Riverside Country Park. It is on the right just before Eastcourt Lane (on your right) if you travelling towards the park from Gillingham direction.

Please wear appropriate clothing for the weather conditions and good footwear. Litter pickers, bags and gloves will be supplied. Under 18s must be accompanied by a suitable adult.

About Us

The Guardians of the Deep project is a partnership between Kent Wildlife Trust, Thanet District Council, Medway Swale Estuary Partnership, Kent County Council and Natural England. It is funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

It will involve local people in the protection and monitoring of Kent’s coastal wildlife, and get young people excited about marine wildlife through a programme of snorkelling activities and practical learning opportunities at coastal sites around the county.
