Great British Beach Clean – Seabrook/Sandgate

Come and survey beach litter as part of the Great British Beach Clean 2018!

The Great British Beach Clean is the biggest beach clean and survey in the UK.

The information volunteers have collected over the last 25 years has helped make some of the most significant impacts on beach litter ever – the plastic bag charge, microplastics banned in personal care products, better wet wipe labelling, and massive support for a tax on ‘on the go’ plastic single use items.

But it’s not job done. We need to gather more and more data to wage war on other types of beach litter, and you can help.

Meet at Battery Point Car Park (CT21 5RL) at 10 am, wearing clothing suitable for the weather, and closed toed shoes. A survey will form part of this beach clean, but full instructions will be provided on the day.

All equipment will be provided. Under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Please book using the form below so enough equipment is available on the day.
